Hi again Fernando.

I did a lot of digging to figure out what happened to your order.

I know you paid for rush service, so I'm going to owe you your choice of a $30 gift certificate or a $20 direct refund. This is going to be late.

Here's what happened (and I'm looking for a solution so that it does not happen again)...
When a customer pays by regular Paypal, the customer is taken to the Paypal site to login and complete the payment. Once the payment is made, Paypal shows a link that says something like, "Click here to inform Oriental Outpost of your order and complete you order". It's not that obvious that you need to do that so the order is placed and recorded (I hate that Paypal refuses to just redirect back to the store website).

The order was left looking like an unpaid order or an abandoned shopping cart (which happens all the time to all online stores). However, this was a real order that was paid for. There was no way to tell without spending a crazy amount of time looking up the order individually against Paypal records.

I hate this Paypal policy (I know, second time I mentioned it).

I am really sorry this happened.

Michiko is rushing your calligraphy to our workshop in Beijing via Express Mail. We'll Express Mail it from Beijing to the USA as soon as it's don't being mounted. I'll try to break a record for speed of delivery of Japanese calligraphy (even though, technically, I'm already late).

I'll do my best to make this right. Thus, I am trying to speed this up by spending a lot on Express Mail around the world, and giving you the choice of a $30 gift certificate or a $20 direct refund to make up for this error. Please let me know if you want the gift certificate or refund option.

Actually, I just issued a total of $40 in refunds, as I also refunded most of your Express Mail fee. I will pay for the Express Mail out of my pocket.

I'm going to try for 3 weeks from now for delivery. I don't know how fast or slow the mail is in Argentina. But Argentina prides itself as being "The Europe of South America" so I presume it will be efficient European-style mail handling.
